Palmira Santos, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Associate of The Health Industry Forum at the Heller School of Social Policy & Management at Brandeis University. 

Prior to coming to Brandeis, she worked extensively with Medicare and Medicaid programs, health systems, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and as a content and policy expert for large national organizations like the American Cancer Society. She has over twenty five years of experience in health care research, evaluation, and in leadership roles as a contractor, grantee, and senior staff member.  This includes product development, testing, and evaluation; re-engineering workflow; and the design, implementation, and evaluation of value drive patient care and reimbursement systems.  Dr. Santos also functions as a grant and research consultant to medical centers through out the country.

She completed her doctorate at the Heller School of Social Policy & Management at Brandeis University and her undergraduate degree at Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
