Over the next decade payers and purchasers will try to incorporate greater recognition of clinical value in payment policy and benefit design. Yet the practical aspects of these changes need to be articulated, tested, and refined. The purpose of this initial meeting is to begin discussing key principals, concepts, and challenges for value-based payment and coverage policy and to identify future research and policy development activities.
